Steve joined Southbrook with his son at our Saturday Stars group in 2016 and took on this team as manager. Steve is a much organised, balanced and calm coach who takes the time to get to know his players needs and develops them in a fun environment. Like all our coaches Steve’s passion for football coaching is inspirational and we are fortunate to have him within our club. Steve has also taken on the role as FA Standard Chartered Coordinator to help support the club and our coaches to develop to the best of our abilities.

Southbrook Pirates were formed with 7 players from the famous Stars academy. Our first season was a real success with great friendships formed between the lads.
The season culminated in Pirates winning the inaugural u8 sub cup of the Southbrook tournament, an achievement that the players, parents, and coaches got to share together. In the current 18/19 season, Pirates started in the White league and have progressed very well.
Our progress has seen us qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League, and move up from White league to Red league, which has presented new challenges for the team in their development. The coaching philosophy in one based on fun and enjoyment, encouraging hard work at all times.
Manager Steve, Coaches Paul and Stu, and Goalkeeper Coach Dan have a real enthusiasm for youth football, giving the team the best environment to enjoy the game and improve as players and people. To be a Pirate is pretty awesome! Moving into next season Pirates are looking for enthusiastic players to strengthen our team and help us with the exciting challenge of 7-a-side Red league football.
